Memories

this is yet again, a poem i wrote about my dad:

When I hear the sound of his voice,

I remember how much I hate him.

When I see his face,

I remember the look in his eyes when he beat me.

When he raises his fist,

I remember the bruises he left me.

When he says, “I love You,”

I remember his lies he told me.

When he called himself my father,

I remember wishing to die.

Now he’s gone,

But the memories are still alive.

Desert Song by My Chemical Romance

“Desert Song”

We hold in our hearts the sword and the faith
Swelled up from the rain, clouds move like a wraith
Well after all, we'll lie another day
And through it all, we'll find some other way
To carry on through cartilage and fluid
And did you come to stare or wash away the blood?

Well tonight, well tonight
Will it ever come?
Spend the rest of your days rocking out
Just for the dead
Well tonight
Will it ever come?
I can see you awake anytime, in my head

Did we all fall down?
Did we all fall down?
Did we all fall down?
Did we all fall down?
From the lights to the pavement
From the van to the floor
From backstage to the doctor
From the Earth to the morgue, morgue, morgue, morgue

Well tonight
Will it ever come?
Spend the rest of your days rocking out
Just for the dead
Well tonight
Will it ever come?
I can see you awake anytime in my head

All fall down
Well after all...

Needles and Rope

The next two short stories are called Needles and Rope. OKay? Enjoy!

Needles:

Why is it that everytime he's angry, I end up back in this dark cave? I just sat on a rock, waiting, for whatever he has instore for me next.

I heard a thousand little needles falling to the ground. I don't wanna face the needles. I want the shadows to came back. To embrace me.

There was a sudden burst of howling wind in the cave. I screamed out to him, hoping he could hear me and stop this nonsense.

The wind blew me to the ground. I landed on my hands and a tousand needles pierced through them. I scream out in pain and terror.

I cried as the blood poured from my hands and created a lake before me.

Why does this always happen to me? Why does he have a need to make everything worse? Why? I cried too many tears already. I bled too much blood. My heart is stained with pain and hatred towards him.

He knows everything about me and, yet, he knows nothing. He only knows of my misery. He doesn't know what makes me happy. He doesn't want too.

Why can't I be strong? What is wrong with me? I'm nothing to him. He's nothing to me. But how can he get to me like this? I need to defeat him but he's stronger.

I did the only thing I knew at that point. I pulled the needles out of my hands. With the last bit of strength in my hands, I drew out more blood and tattooed a heart over my heart.

When the light came this time, I walked towards the shadows. I couldn't get very far though. The light was way too bright. It nearly blinded me. But, I could feel their smiles warm me and actually make me happy. My wounds were gone, healed with love and kindness.  Something that he could never give me. I felt somewhat whole again. But I know he will tear me down once more.

Rope:

I'm not in a cave this time. I'm in a prison cell. Why does he send me to the most disturbing places? I feel like I'm losing myself, my sanity.

I'm depressed. I'm always sad but I never tell anyone. I can't cry anymore. It's too painful.

What does he have instore for me this time? Another fear? I can't stand losing my sanity any longer.

He's an expert at these things. He knows how to make people miserable. I don't want to be miserable anymore. Why hasn't the grim reaper come for me?

I know why. He knows my will to live is strong but he wants to torture me.

I hear a crackling noise above me. Like rope tightning around something. Out of nowhere, a rope shoots down and tightens itself around my neck.

I'm choking as it lifts me from the ground. I'm trying to untie the rope but my palms are wet from sweat.

I wiped the sweat off on my shirt. I try to untie the rope again but everything is slowly going black.

I drop to the ground, gasping for air. How did I escape from the rope? I must have loosened it.

But then I saw those shadows again. They're always there to help me. The disappeared in the light and I was home again.

Spiders and Broken Glass

Okay...this is a sample of my side stories...tell me what you think and if i should post more!!

Spiders:

Trapped in a cave, all alone. No light, no food, no water. Scared. He had led me here. He trapped me inside this cave. A cave full of creatures. Small and big. He knows my fears. I-I hear a noise.

Creepy little wet footsteps surrounding me in total darkness. He's doing this to me. He wants me to go insane! Why is he doing this to me?

There's something on my shoulder. Eight little feet climbing up my back. I quiver as the creature crawls up my neck and around to my chest.

It was a spider. A big spider. Thousands of them surrounding me. Can they sense my fear?

I was shaking, crying, panicking and nervous. I wanted to scream and yell. But nothing came out. I held in all my fear and let it take over me. I tried so hard not to be scared. I tried to mask myself with confidence but the spiders can see the real me.  Shaken and afraid. And, surprisingly, I could see them. Now, not as monsters, but as small creatures. They're not dangerous to me. What did I do to them? Nothing.

So, I stopped panicking. I took a deep breath. And I stopped screaming inside. I picked up the spider on my chest and I held it in my hands. I looked at it as it looked at me. I smiled and put it down with it's friends.

I watched as a light shone through the cave. I felt its warmth embrace me. I felt my fear of spiders melt away. I beat him...for now.

Broken Glass:

I'm back in the cave again. All alone, again. No one to guide me to the light. Has he uncovered another fear within me?

Why does he do this to me? Why is he angry with me all the time? Why does he let his anger take control of him? What did I do to be back in this horride cave again?

I hear bottles shattering and crunching noises. What was making those noises? More spiders? Bigger spiders? No. I got rid of that fear.

It was a shadow. A shadow that I could see in total darkness. But whoes shadow was it? Was it his?

I reached toward the shadow, trying to find its owner. I step forward and something pointy ripped through my right foot.

I scream out in pain and jump backwards as more break through my skin. Blood dripping from my foot, staining everything beneath it. Even my clutching hands. I now know what he's doing. He bringing my worst fears come to life.

I pulled the bloody shards out of my feet. I analyzed the blood stained shards. Glass. Broken glass. He knows my fear of being stabbed by broken glass.  He knows what happened in first grade. He knows of the blood flowing up my stockings in first grade.

I can't be afraid anymore. But why would he use this against me? What did I do?

So, I looked at the pieces. They looked like diamonds in the darkness. I took the shattered pieces and picked them up.

They light appeared again. I embraced it more than the last time. I watched the bright light heal my bloody wounds. But I saw something more in the shadow. Five men standing at the end of the light, smiling.

I beat him again, but this time with help.

"A Kind of Love to Die For" book 2 chapter 6

Cordelia sat and stared at the gift for hours on end. What could be in there? Something dangerous and potentically harm her? Or something romantic and loving? What should she do? Should she open it? Or should she just leave it and forget about it?

The suspense is killing her. She wants to know really badly. So, she opened it.

"Oh my!" Cordelia gasped in amazment.

The gift-wrapped box contained a beautiful, long, black gown. She pulled it out and gazed at it. It was so lovely. Cordelia put the gown down next to her and looked through the box to see if there was anything else.

There was a note at the bottom that read:

"It will look so beautiful on you."

Cordelia took the gown into the bathroom and put it on. The black gown comlimented her pale skin and deep green eyes. She let her long, black hair sweep over her shoulders. Cordelia looked absolutely stunning in the dress.

Cordelia heard the front door open and close. She peeked outside the bathroom to see who it was.

"Hey, Cordelia, did ya get a present or something? Whats the box for?" Phoebe came into the bathroom ad asked.

"Ummm...I got a present." Cordelia blushed.

"I see. It's gorgeous. Who sent it?"

"Um, well, the present was given to me in person."

"By who?" Phoebe questioned.

"Gerard." Cordelia choked.

"He knows you're here? How?!"

"He followed us the other night. And he gave me a necklace too." Cordelia answered.

"Okay. I'll call Sheila or Rose...maybe you can stay with one of them..." Phoebe suggested.

"Phoebe, I..."

"No, no arguing. You'll stay with one of them. Now pack! Scoot!" Phoebe said ushering her to her bedroom.

"He'll find me. He always does." Cordelia said.

"Don't worry. I'll take care of it."

"Don't hurt him though. Okay?"

"Fine," Phoebe started. "I wasn't going too...maybe someone does care for him."

"Phoebe!"

"I was kidding! Gosh! Pack now!"

Rose came in the middle of the night to pick Cordelia up. Cordelia knew that Gerard will find her. He always does, doesn't he?

"You okay?" Rose said as Cordelia got into the car.

"Yeah." Cordelia sighed.

"Nice gown."

"Thanks."Cordelia whispered.

They drove all the way to Rose's mountain house. It was lovely and it was in the middle of the forest. Cordelia took her bags out of the trunk of the car.

She headed toward the door and set her bags done. She had a strange feeling that someone or something was in the woods. Cordelia gazed off in the woods and saw a shadow.

"A Kind of Love to Die For" book 2 chapter 5

Cordelia unpacked her things in the guest bedroom in Phoebe's house. It was quite lovely, actually. It had a bathroom attached to the room.

Cordelia plopped on the bed and stared up at the ceiling. She was still wearing the neckalce that Gerard gave her. Cordelia dettached the necklace from her neck and stared at it. She wondered everything about it. She wondered why he bought it for her? Did he really love her? Or did he love being in love with her?

"Cordelia," Phoebe said walking into the room. "Ummm, my parents and I have to go and get some things from the store. Do you wanna come or are you okay being by yourself for a little while?"

"I'll stay. I don't think he knows that I'm here. Can you get me some pepsi?" Cordelia smiled.

"Fine," Phoebe sighed. "We'll be back soon."

Cordelia lied on the bed for about 15 minutes after Phoebe and her parents left. She heard a loud thump coming from the living room, followed by cursing.

"What the hell?" Cordelia whispered. She got up and placed the necklace in a drawer.

Cordelia made her way to the living room. Gerard was standing there with another gift in his hands.

"Hey, Cordelia," He said calmly. "Umm, sorry that I yelled at you the other night and I'm sorry that I scare you."

"H-how did you know I was here?" she asked.

"I followed you here the other night."

"Gerard..."

"No, just stop for a sec, okay? I know what you're going to say. Cordelia, I love you. You're beautiful and smart and the love of my life. I-I got you a gift." Gerard said to her, handing her a big, gift-wrapped present.

"Gerard, you can't buy me all these things. You can't buy my love." Cordelia babbled.

"I know. Open it when you're ready, I guess."

Gerard kissed her and left.

"A Kind of Love to Die For" book 2 chapter 4

"Cordelia," Phoebe said. "I want you to stay with me awhile. Okay?"

"Phoebe, I don't want to put you in any danger." Cordelia replied.

"Don't worry, you won't. You'll be safe there, I promise. No one's going to hurt you. Plus, my dad'll keep watch, he has good ears. You'll be safe." Phoebe reassured her.

Cordelia thought for a moment. "Okay." she whispered.

"Come on," Phoebe said, heading down the hall. "Let's get you a change of clothing and tomorrow we'll come back for more. Okay."

Cordelia nodded and started down the hallway, heading to her bedroom. She packed her pajamas and a change of clothing for the next day.

"Hey, Cor, I need to go to the bathroom. Wait for me. I'll be right back." Phoebe said, rushing to the bathroom.

Cordelia went back into her bedroom to find if there was anymore things taht she needed to bring. She looked towards the vanity near her closet. On the mirror above the vanity, there was another rose taped to it. She dared not to touch it. She already knew what it meant.

Cordelia saw something foreign on the vanity. Something that wasn't hers. It was a beautiful diamond necklace with a note attached to it. The note read:

" I love you. Come back to me."

It was strange because it wasn't the usual message. Cordelia slumped on the chair that faced the vanity and stared at the beautiful necklace. Cordelia gazed at the mirror for a second and saw a figure in the background. It stepped forward and turned out to be Gerard, of course.

"Please don't be there when I turn around." She whispered.

"Aren't you going to put your necklace on?" He said.

"Gerard, please stop. You've got to move on. Please..." Cordelia pleaded.

Gerard came forward and moved his hand across her back and up to her shoulder. Gerard bent his head down next to her ear and whispered, "You know I can't let you go. You're everything to me." Gerard reached toward the necklace and placed it around her neck.

"You look so beautiful." He whispered again, kissing her gently on her neck.

Cordelia turned to face him.

"Gerard, I can't do this." She said to him.

"Do what may I ask?"

"This! Gerard, I love you but I'm terrifyed of you. Can't you see? This scares me."

"Well, why don't you stop being afraid of me and get to know who I am?!" He shouted.

"It's not that easy." Cordelia whispered.

Cordelia heard the toilet flush and the water running in the bathroom.

"You got to go. Phoebe's almost done. Just please try to live without me." she said with a tear rolling down her cheek.

"I'm never giving up on you Cordelia. I can't live without you. You'll come to me soon enough." Gerard left out the window as Phoebe came into the bedroom.

"Are you okay?" Phoebe asked.

"I'll be fine." Cordelia replied, staring out the window.

"A Kind of Love to Die For" book 2 chapter 3

"Are you sure it was him?" Phoebe asked.

"Yes, it was him, Phoebe, I didn't imagine it." Cordelia replied with tears spilling down her cheek.

"But didn't you say that you loved him?"

"Yes, yes I did." Cordelia answered, while wiping the tears away.

"Well, this is really hard for me to say but, why don't you give him a chance. Though, he did happen to kidnap us six months ago and he was going to marry you...." Phoebe said trailing off

"Phoebe," Cordelia started. "I got to tell you something. You how I said that you guys came before the ceremony? Well, you actually came after. Me and Gerard are married."

"Ummm...I don't know what to say to that," Phoebe sighed. "But, why wouldn't you go with him then? Why wouldn't you stay with him if you loved him?"

"I'm afraid that he'll hurt me. That one day I'll make him angry and he'll hurt me." Cordelia sobbed.

"How do we know that he will?" Phoebe said.

Cordelia sunk to the floor. "Because, I tried to escape from him before and he threatened to kill me if I left and threatened to kill others too."

Cordelia burst out crying. She put her head to her knees and just sat there, crying.

"Everything will be okay, Cordelia. I promise." Phoebe said comforting her.

But Phoebe also had a feeling that something was going to go wrong. Like it always does. Like it did six months ago.

"A Kind of Love to Die For" book 2 chapter 2

Cordelia began to back away from Gerard, very slowly.

"Don't worry, Cordelia, I won't hurt you." Gerard said reaching out, trying to touch her face.

"How can I believe you?" she replied.

"You love me, don't you?" Gerard asked.

"Yes, but I'm terrifyed of you, Gerard."

"I know, but you don't have to be. I love you so much, I don't wanna hurt you." He gently touched her hair, then her face. Cordelia fell backwards, landing on her wrist, hurting it and began to crawl away. Cordelia got up and started to run towards the door. She loved Gerard but she was afraid that he was going to hurt her.

She opened the door a crack but Gerard pulled on her arm and pushed up against the wall, closing the door with his foot.

"Cordelia," he started. "I love you and I don't want to hurt you."

"You're hurting me right now." Cordelia replied, frustrated.

Gerard sighed and loosened his grip on her arms. He stroked her cheek and smiled at her. Gerard gently took his thumb and outlined her top lip.

Cordelia would try to break free but Gerard was too strong. But she stopped moving. Gerard had leaned forward and looked her in the eye, and kissed her, like the kiss he gave her at their wedding. She wanted to push him away but she was mesmorized by his kiss.

Just then, a knock came upon Cordelia's door.

"Cor, open up! It's me! Phoebe!"

Cordelia's and Gerard's lips finally parted.

"You are my one true love and not to metion, my wife. And I will stop at nothing to get you back again." He whispered. Gerard ran toward the back door and escaped into the darkness.

"A Kind of Love to Die For" chapter 32

It's been about six months since the incident with Gerard and the guys. Cordelia constantly thought about Gerard and how things could of gone if she stayed with him that night. Maybe she would've been happy and not constantly scared like she is everyday.

She doesn't talk about the incident with Phoebe or the other two. She doesn't want to bring back those bad memories. They are still very cautious and they call each other every night to make sure that they are all alright.

Cordelia was home alone, as usual, and it was about 10:45 pm and she was exhausted. She wanted to take a quick shower before she went to bed because she had a job interveiw early in the morning. She got her pajamas ready on her bed and headed towards the bathroom.

Cordelia walked through the bathroom door, yawning from exhaustion, and she noticed something on the floor.

"Whats this?" She said to herself. It was a red rose with a note attached to it. The note read:

"A Kind of Love to Die for."

"W-what?! Not again!" Cordelia gasped. She dropped the note and turned around and saw a familar face.

"I can't live without you."

The End...for now.

"A Kind of Love to Die For" chapter 31

The wedding music started playing as they slowly made there was down the aisle. They were arm-in-arm and Cordelia was silently crying and praying. They reached the end of the aisle, where the minister was standing. They faced each other and Gerard wiped the tears off her face.

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here to join this couple in holy matromony. Before we begin, is there anybody here who object to this union?" The old minister asked.

Cordelia looked around, desperately to see if her friends would come crashing in. Nothing. No one. Not a sound or objection.

"Okay then, lets get started. Gerard," The minister started. "Do you take this women to be your lawfully wedded wife? To have and to hold, to love and to cherish, until death do you part?"

"I do." Gerard smiled.

"And do you, Cordelia, take this man as your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, to love and to cherish, until death do you part?" the old minister repeated.

Cordelia hesitated. She opened her mouth but nothing came out.

"Y-yes." she choked while trying to hold back her tears.

"Well, then, Gerard, you may kiss the bride."

Gerard took Cordelia into his arms and kissed her like he had never kissed anyone before.

"I love weddings!" Frank said crying.

Their lips pulled apart. Cordelia was stunned by that kiss. She liked it. She liked that kiss a lot.

"Gerard," Frank whispered. "The cops, they called the cops and they're outside right now. We got to go."

"Alright," Gerard said as he pulled Cordelia off tothe side. "Don't worry. We'll have a nice house and I'll always take care of you."

"Gerard," Cordelia said hugging him. "You got to let me go. I want you to go, run away from the cops. I'll drop the charges. Saves yourself."

"But I love you..." He replied.

"I-I love you too. But you got to go and save yourself. Let me go." She whispered in his ear.

"You're serious, aren't you. You know this won't be easy for me. I love you." he said pulling away from her.

"I am serious and I know this won't be easy for you. I love you, Gerard, go save you and your friends."

Cordelia kissed him goodbye. He and his friends left out the back door.

The police came in and ushered her out as they went to look for Gerard and the others.

"A Kind of Love to Die For" chapter 30

"Gerard, I can't get married! I don't have a dress...and there's no bridesmaids or flower girls or...or..." Cordelia stuttered.

"We don't have all that to have the perfect wedding. And, I got you a wedding dress. It's in the back." Gertard replied.

Cordelia turned around and Bob handed her the dress.

"It's lovely." Cordelia said stunned.

"Good. I'm glad you think it's lovely. Now, when we het to the chapel, I want you to change into the dress and get ready for our wedding." he replied.

"Gerard, I can't." she whispered.

"All you have to say is, 'I do.'"

They had reached the chapel where Gerard and Cordelia were to be married. Gerard led Cordelia to the back room where she ws going to get changed.

"Can I have some privacy?" Cordelia asked.

"I can't have you try to escape again." Gerard stated.

"Well, can you turn around?"

Gerard sighed and turned around. Cordelia changed into her dress. It was a long, noodle straped, white dress with frills at the ends. Kind of like her short white dress but longer

Gerard turned around and looked at his beautiful bride.

"Wow," he said."You look amazing."

They headed out to the chapel aisle.

"Are you ready?" Gerard asked.

"I have no choice do I?" She said.

"No, I'm sorry, you don't." Gerard replied.

"Well, then, yes. I guess so." Cordelia stated.

"A Kind of Love to Die For" chapter 29

"I knew you were up to something. You wouldn't give in that easily." Gerard said very frustrated.

"Well, I didn't know that they would get caught now did I?" she replied in a stern voice.

"Don't use that tone with me!" Gerard yelled. "They probably called someone on my cell phone, didn't they? Who did they call?!"

"I-I don't know..." Cordelia said somewhat panicky.

Gerard let out an angry sigh.

"I won't hurt you. I love you too much." He said.

"If you love me so much, why won't you let me go?" Cordelia whispered.

"I can't," he replied. "I just can't."

Frank ran through the door to Gerard's bedroom.

"They got picked up by some guy in a truck." Frank stated though he was running out of air.

"Then why didn't you stop them?!" Gerard asked.

"Those chicks can run!" Frank squealed.

"They'll be back, except this time with the cops. We gotta go and we gotta go now!" Gerard said.

All six of them headed to the van. Cordelia hesitated and Gerard had to pick her up and throw her over his shoulders so she would move.

"Why can't you let me go?!" Cordelia sobbed.

"Because I love you." Gerard replied.

They all hopped in the van and started driving.

"Now what are we gonna do?" Ray asked.

"We can still have one wedding."

"A Kind of Love to Die For" chapter 28

"Rose," Cordelia whispered peering out the hole in the wall called a window. "Is that Richard's truck?"

Rose looked outside.

"Yes," she said. "He's waiting for us. Go work your magic."

Phoebe took a bobby pin out of her hair and picked the lock on the door. Cordelia slowly opened it and peeked outside to see if the coast was clear. She slowly stepped out into the hallway.

"If you see anybody coming your way," Cordelia said in a sharp voice. "Run like hell."

Cordelia slowly made her way to Gerard's room. She peered inside to see if he was in there. He was. Her heart pounded inside her chest. She said a short prayer and walked through his door.

"Cordelia," Gerard said. "What are you doing in here?"

"I-I wanted to be with you." Cordelia said, trying to control her shaking hands. She sat in next to him on his bed and layed her head on his shoulder. She slowly moved her hand to hold his.

"Really? How'd you get out?" Gerard asked.

"S-someone left the door open." She stuttered. Cordelia heard the girls' footsteps outside the door.

"How come I don't believe you?" he said.

"Well...do you believe this?" Cordelia said kissing him on the lips. She pulled away, leaving Gerard stunned that she kissed him.

"Why would you kiss me? Are you up to something?" Gerard questioned.

"No." She replied rather quickly. Cordelia realized that Gerard heard the footsteps outside his door.

"What's that?"

"Nothing." Cordelia said pulling Gerard close to her, kissing the hell outta him.

Sheila, Rose, and Phoebe tip toed by. They headed toward the staircase. Frank was on his way to tell Gerard something. All four bumped into each other on the stairs.

"Fuck." Phoebe whispered in fear. All three of the girls pumbled past Frank.

"Gerard," Frank yelled. "They're trying to escape!!"

"Fuck." Cordelia whispered.

"A Kind of Love to Die For" chapter 27

"Hello?" a voice came from the other end of the cell phone.

"Richard? It's me, Rose." Rose whispered.

"Rose, whats wrong?" Richard asked, sensing her fear.

"Me, Phoebe, Cordelia, and Sheila were kidnapped by Gerard and his friends. We need your help." She said.

"You're kidding, right. Rose, you know I hate it when you mess with me like that. It's not cool." Richard said sternly.

"I'm not kidding! I..." Her voice trailed off.

"Someone's coming." He heard another girl whisper. Richard heard a door open and footsteps, many footsteps.

"Where's my cell phone?" a man asked.

"I don't know, Gerard I swear." a different girl said.

"Cordelia," Gerard started. "I need my cell phone. Give it to me now!"

"I don't have it I swear." Cordelia repeated.

"Fine," he said. "Come on guys, we didn't check the van yet."

The men finally left the room.

Rose quickly put the cell phone up to her ear again.

"Richard? Are you still there?" she asked.

"Yeah....where are you?" he asked.

"Somewhere in Abington, Pennsylvania. I don't know exactly where though." she said with her voice full of sorrow.

"It's okay, babe. That's all the information I need." Richard said.

"Hurry up, okay? I love you." Rose said.

"I love you, too. And don't worry, I'll right there." he hung up the phone.

"He's coming." Rose said turning around to the girls.

"How are we gonna get out of here though?" Sheila asked.

"We have to distract them." Phoebe said.

"But how?" Rose asked.

"I'll distract Gerard. And the other guys are always in the living room so you guys can go out through the back door." Cordelia suggested.

"Yeah, but what about you? We're not leaving you, especially since we came here looking for you. And how are you going to distract Gerard?" Phoebe asked.

"Well, I'll...ummm...charm Gerard...you know, since I'm his so called girlfriend. And you guys can get help once you're out. Call the police, I promise that I'll be okay. And Rose, give me his cell phone, I know where to hide it." Cordelia whispered.

Cordelia dug the nails out of the floor board. She hid the cell phone and placed the floor board over it.

"Now, what are we gonna do?" Sheila asked.

"We have to wait."

"A Kind of Love to Die For" chapter 25

"I'll call when we decide, okay?" Gerard said to the woman.  He took Cordelia into the hallway to talk.

"What do you mean we're getting married?? I'm only seventeen, Gerard! I'm not ready to get married!!" Cordelia harshly whispered.

"Well, get ready," he replied in a harsh tone. "I told you, you don't talk unless spoken too. The guys and I will do all the talking."

"Are Phoebe, Sheila, and Rose gonna get married too?"

"Yes," he sighed. "Let's go back in."

Cordelia remained silent during the rest if the party and so did the other girls. Cordelia didn't want to get married. She was too young, wasn't she?

She hasn't even known Gerard for a full week and they're already getting married. 'I hope Phoebe knows about this,' Cordelia thought to herself. During the whole drive home, Frank drove and Gerard made her sit on his lap. He played with her hair constantly and kissed her on the neck. The guys were doing it to their dates too, except for Frank because he was driving.

The girls were placed in the same room again, when they got home. Cordelia was going to tell the girls about all of them getting married unless they already knew.

Before the five soon to be husbands left, they all gave them kisses goodbye.

"Guys," Cordelia started after their 'fiancees left'. "Do you know that they all devised a plan for all of us to..."

"To what? Get married? Yeah, I know!" Phoebe interupted.

"Oh, you know. What about you guys? Sheila? Rose? Did you know before?" Cordelia asked.

"Yeah..." they said in unison.

"We need to escape, leave. We have to get away from them before it's too late." Phoebe said.

"Yeah. Look," Cordelia said pulling something out of the bottom of her dress. "While Gerard was kissing my neck, I stole his cell phone again. Who should we call?"

"My boyfriend," Rose suggested. "Richard."

"A Kind of Love to Die For" chapter 24

They guys walked the ladies out to the van. What kind of party are they going to? Who is it for? Well, they're about to find out, I guess.

"Okay, ladies, you stay with your date at all times. Do not speak until spoken to, and try to look like you're having fun, okay?" Gerard said. They all nodded and got out of the car. It wasn't a big house likr Gerards, but it was big enough for the type of party that they were going to.

"One, more thing," Frank added. " Do not be surprised when we walk in, okay?"

They nodded again and walked in.

"Congratualtions!!" the people in the house said as they walked in.

Cordelia turned to Gerard. "Why are they congratulated us?" she asked.

"Oh, nothing." Gerard replied. The couples all headed out into the party, going in different directions.

A woman approached Cordelia, smiling. "Hello," the woman started. "You must be Cordelia right?"

"Yes." Cordelia answered.

"I'm a friend of Gerard's mother. I'm so happy for you two!" the woman said.

Cordelia looked really confused.

"So, when are you getting married?"

"What?!" Cordelia said very shocked.

"A Kind of Love to Die For" chapter 23

The four girls got ready as they were told too. The dresses were qiute lovely actually, and they were all the right sizes. Cordelia had to wear a long black dress with noodle straps and a frilly end. Phoebe had to wear a short red dress that was kinda tight but had lond, tight sleeves. Rose had to wear a longish blue dress with frills and no sleeves. And Sheila had to wear a short purple dress that was kinda like Phoebe's but not that tight.

They were ready in exactly an hour. They guys came in and saw how lovely the girls looked in their desired dresses.

"Wow," Gerard said looking at Cordelia. " You look absolutely beautiful. I knew I picked out the right dress for you."

He approached her and stroked her face. Then, he turned his attention to the other three.

" You ladies look lovely too. But you're dates are over there," he said pointing at his four companions at the door. " Phoebe, you're Frank's date. Rose, you're Bob's date. And Sheila, you're Ray's date."

"What about Mikey?" Cordelia said with a hint of sarcasim.

"He has his own date and she's waiting for him in the other room." Gerard answered.

"Where are we goin?" Phoebe asked.

"We're going to a party."

"A Kind of Love to Die For" chapter 22

The girls did as they were told and quitely walked to the van that Mikey was driving and where two other men was waiting for them.

"Ladies first." Mikey said giving Phoebe's limp body to one of the other men.

Rose and Sheila cautiously entered the van.

"This is Bob and Ray," Mikey said. "We'll be in Abington in about an hour or two."

"I knew it!" Sheila whispered.

About half way to Abington, Phoebe awakened, frightened.

"What the hell?! Where am I? Where are we goin?" She screamed.

"Calm down, Phoebe," Mikey said. "We're going to visit Cordelia, Gerard, and Frank in Abington."

"What?!" Phoebe said confused.

They reached Abington, they drove up to a huge mansion near the June Fete grounds. Outside, waiting, was Gerard and Cordelia who was held tightly to his side.

"Hello, ladies," Gerard said as they walked up to the door. "Let me tell you right now that you'll be staying here for a while."

All four girls were led up to the bedroom where Cordelia was held. There was four dresses laid neatly on the bed.

"Make sure that you're ready in about an hour." He said closing the door.

"A Kind of Love to Die For" chapter 21

"Hey Phoebe," Sheila said. "I think I found something..."

"What is it?" Phoebe asked.

"An address..." Phoebe walked over to Sheila to take a look at the supposed clue.

"It's somewhere in Abington Pennsylvania. Why there?" Phoebe said.

"Abington? I know where that is. My aunt lives in Abington." Rose stated.

"What if it's just a coinidence that we found this. What if he did n't bring her there? We should keep looking for more clues." Sheila suggested.

"Okay, but if we don't find anything, we're going to Abington." Phoebe said.

They kept looking around for any other clue. Nothing. Only that address in Abington.

"You know, I can't shake off the feeling that we're being watched, you know?" Rose said.

"Yeah...I know what you mean." Sheila said.

"What about you, Phoebe?" Rose asked.

There was no answer.

"Phoebe?" Rose said.

Rose and Sheila turned around and found that was knocked out and thrown over the shoulder of Gerard's little brother.

"I would suggest that you come quitely." He said.

"A Kind of Love to Die For" chapter 20

Cordelia sat in that same room, huddled up in a corner, crying and praying that Gerard would just ley her go but she knew that it wouldn't be that easy. He's too stubborn.

Cordelia heard the door open, someone entered but it wasn't Gerard.

"Hi," the man said. " I'm Frank...ummm...Gerard told me to fix the floorboard so you would stop hiding hos cell phone down there."

Cordelia watched Frank as he replaced the broken floorboard. He was careful and his hands were steady. It must have taken him at least 10-15 minuyes to fix the floor.

"You know," Frank started. " Your friend, Phoebe, she's pretty hot. Does she have a boyfriend."

Cordelia was startled by his question. He gave the same devilish grin as Gerard did with her.

" I don't know...I think so." Cordelia replied in a dry voice.

"Well, she won't anymore."

"A Kind of Love to Die for" chapter 19

Cordelia was locked in a room somewhere in a mansion in Pennsylvania. She was frightened, confused, and she felt alone. Cordelia had stolen Gerard's cell phone without him knowing and made phone calls to Phoebe twice. She was hoping that Gerard wouldn't notice, but how couldn't he? It was his cell phone. He was gonna find out sooner or later.

Cordelia heard footsteps from the hallway and hid the cell phone in one of the broken floor boards. The door opened and then, of course, Gerard walked in.

"Cordelia," he started. " Do you happen to know where my cell phone may have went too by any chance?"

"N-no..." Cordelia lied.

"Oh really, I've been getting calls from my brother saying that Phoebe, Rose, and Sheila have been getting calls from you leading them to where we are."

"No...I haven't beem making calls and...and leading them here....I don't even know where here is..." She mumbled. Gerard knelt beside her and stroked her face.

"Why don't I believe you?" He whispered.

"I don't know."

"You see, I want to make this work for us. I mean it. You're gorgeous, smart, funny, but I know you're lying. And if you lie in a relationship, people are most likely going to break up. And do you know what will happen if we break up?" Gerard asked.

"No..." Cordelia replied.

"Would you like to find out?"

"No."

"Good, now where is my cell phone?" Gerard questioned. Cordelia got up and moved towards the floor board that it was under. She removed the floor board and handed Gerard his cell phone.

"Thanks, honey," He said kissing her. "I've got to get Frank to fix that floorboard."

Gerard left the room and Cordelia started sobbing. Now how was she going to lead Phoebe here? How?

"A Kind of Love to Die For" chapter 18

The girls made their way to the creepy cemetery down the street from Gerard's house. They had investigated every tombstone, the mausolem, every crypt, everything.

"Why would he bring her here anyways?" Shelia asked.

"I don't know. Cause he's weird." Rose said.

"What about the woods?" Phoebe questioned. "Would he take her there?"

"Maybe but the woods are rwally big...it's gonna be hard to search in there." Shelia said.

"Yeah...he probably wouldn't take her in there anyways." Phoebe said.

"Let's go to his house now and hope that nobody's there." Rose suggested.

"Yeah." Phoebe agreed but she couldn't help but think there was some sort of clue in the woods. As the three made their way up the street to Gerard's house, Phoebe's cell phone rang again. It was an unknown caller.

"Hello?" Phoebe asked.

"Phoebe, it's me..."

"Cordelia?"

"Yeah...all I know is that we're somewhere in Pennsylvania...i don't really know where though. Check his house for any clue to where I am, okay...I wanna come home." Cordelia sobbed.

"Okay, okay...I will." Phoebe replied.

"I got to gonow, Gerard's coming, bye..." Cordelia said in a low, shakey, whisper.

"Bye..." Phoebe said hanging up her phone.

"Was that her?" Rose asked.

"Yeah, she said that their somewhere in Pennsylvania. We have to search his house to find out exactly where...man, I feel like Nancy Drew." Phoebe stated.

"I have this strange feeling that we're being followed...don't you?" Shelia randomly commented.

"Yeah but we can't worry about that now. Come on let's see what's inside his creepy house."

"A Kind of Love to Die For" chapter 17

The girls searched through Cordelia's house for hours, not knowing that Mikey was watching their every move.

"There's nothing. No clues or anything. Damn, Gerard's good." Shelia said frustrated.

"What if we can't find anything? What then?" Rose stated.

"Let's just hope she calls again. Maybe I can get her to tell us something." Phoebe replied.

"We've been here all day looking for some sort of clue...what if we can't find her? We're only seventeen!" Shelia pondered.

"We can't give up guys! He might kill her!" Phoebe said.

"Okay, let's think then. Where would he take her?" Rose questioned.

"His house...well maybe..." Shelia suggested.

"Well, it's a start...what about the cemetery down his street? You think he could taken her there?" Phoebe also suggested.

"What about the mall?" Rose said.

"No shopping, Rose. We've got to save Cordelia. Okay, we'll go to the cemetery first and check things out. Then, we'll go to his house. Now lets go." Phoebe said as they headed out the door.

Mikey followed them in the shadows, reported everything to Gerard as they went abput their plan.

"I've got to find her," Phoebe said the herself. "I need Shelia's and Rose's help, though."

Phoebe rushed to way to the school to find them She passed by Mikey, Gerard's brother, in the hallway. 'What is he doing here?' Phoebe thought to herself.

"Rose! Shelia!" Phoebe shouted in the hallway.

"Hey, Phoebe." They both said in unison.

"Cordelia has gone missing...we've got to find her..."

"What can we do?" Shelia asked.

"How do you know she's gone missing anyways?" Rose asked.

"She called me...Gerard has her. We have to save her before he killd her." Phoebe said.

"Why don't you just tell the police?" Rose said.

"He said that he'll kill her if I do. We've got to go now." Phoebe assured.

"Go where?" Shelia asked.

"Cordelia's house. We've got to search for clues or something."

" Wait...hold up Nancy Drew. We've got school...we can't just leave." Rose said.

"Yes we can. School didn't offically start yet. And plus, Gerard's little brother is here. We don't want him to hear anything. He could know about everything. Now, we've got to go!" Phoebe stated.

"Alright.." they both sighed.

All three glared at Mikey as they made their way out the door. Mikey called someone on his cell phone.

"They're leaving. Should I follow? Yeah, Phoebe, Rose, and Shelia. I don't know where they're going! Alright...I'll meet you there, Gerard." Mikey whispered.

"Who? Who took you there?" Phoebe asked.

"Gerard...it was Gerard, Phoebe....oh no!"

"Well, thats strange. Hmmm...what about that guy who has been following her. Did ya find him?" Phoebe asked.

"We can't prove that there was anyone following her. For all we know, she could of been making it up."

"How could she make something like that up?! She came to my house bleeding and crying and scared to death because some guy was following her!! And you say that she was making it up?! How dare you!" Phoebe exploded.

"Alright, I'll look into it. But if there's nothing to prove that she has been followed, then there's nothing we can do. Goodbye miss, I'll call you if I find anything." the officer said as he got into his police car.

Crying Blue

I wrote this poem because I needed to get out my emotions in a postitive way. This is how my dad makes me feel. Here it is:

How could you?

After all that we’ve been through,

how could you?

Look what you made me do,

I’m crying blue

because of you.

My heart turned to ice,

And my emotions are at their all time low.

But you don’t care

you don’t dare.

After all that you put me through,

no, you don’t dare

because you don’t want to feel the guilt

or the way I felt

because of you.

How could you?

After all we’ve been through,

it doesn’t mean nothing to you?

Look what you made me do,

I’m crying blue

because of you.

"A Kind of Love to Die For" chapter 13

"Gerard!" Cordelia yelled. "Please stop! Please! I'll be with you, I promise! I promise!"

Gerard got off of Cordelia and kneeled beside her. "You promise?" he asked.

"I promise." she sobbed.

"Are you willing to bet your life on it?" Gerard questioned.

"Yes."

"Good," Gerard said as he pulled her off the ground. " By the way, honey, if you do this again...you won't be the only one I kill. You got that?"

"Yes." Cordelia answered.

"Okay, let's go."

"Where?"

"We're leaving. So no one find's us. So we can be together forever. I love you." Gerard answered. Cordelia stood there, dazed by his reply.

They had walked back to his house to retrieve his car and leave. How could this happen to her?

"Get in." Gerard ordered as soon as they got there. She did as she was told and got in the car.

"Don't worry," he said. " I'll be able to take care of you. I have enough money and everything. We'll get married and we'll start a new life together. I love you, Cordelia. Do you love me?"

"Yes." she whispered, but she lied how could she love him after all he put her through? But she had to say it, so he wouldn't hurt anybody else.

"A Kind of Love to Die For" chapter 12

"Gerard," Cordelia whispered, pulling away from his soft lips. "Why are you doing this to me?"

"I want you." Gerard whispered to her. Cordelia pushed him away from her and bolted out the door. Gerard ran after her and wished that he didn't send the others home.

Cordelia ran her way outside and down the street, into the cemetery. Gerard followed, yelling and screaming to her to come back to him. She ran faster and faster with each yell, but this time she made sure she didn't run into anything. Gerard was catching up to her, angry.

He was too fast for Cordelia. He caught up to her as she was running into the mausolem. Gerard pulled her back by her hair, she fell. "Stop! Let me go!" She yelled.

Gerard kept dragging her. But, they weren't headed back to his house. He headed  towards the woods that was behind the cemetery. Cordelia screamed and screamed as he dragged her across the sticks, rocks, and grass.

He stopped somewhere in the middle of the woods. Gerard threw her two feet infront of him and stared at her. There was a silence in the woods. A very long silence.

"No! Gerard, please don't!" Cordelia screamed. "Nooo!"

"A kind of Love to Die For" chapter 11

Cordelia awoke, again, but this time in a big, cold, dark room. She wasn't bleeding this time but she was scared out of her fuckin mind!! Who could blame her, though? A really hott, psycho loves her...right? Is it love or is it lust? Who knows?

Cordelia got up and groped around for a door or something of which she could escape. The problem was that it was so dark that she couldn't she her hand in front of her face. Cordelia found a cold wall in front of her (you don't wanna know how she found it either). She finally found a door but it was locked. It wouldn't open, no matter how hard she pulled. Cordelia hear footsteps outside. She panicked and fell backwards, hurting her wrist.

The door flung open and five shadows were outlined by the dim light that now filtered the room. Cordelia knew which one was Gerard, he was the one in the middle but she didn't know the other four.

"Guys," Gerard said. "It's time for you all to go home. Never speak of this to any one. No matter what happens."

They obeyed Gerard's orders and left. Cordelia trembled as Gerard moved closer to her. he pulled Cordelia up to her feet and faced to her towards him.

"Hello love..." he said, kissing her on the lips.

"A Kind of Love to Die For" chapter 10

Cordelia looked sick after Gerard said that. "W-what?" she whispered, frightened.

"I said, do you like the roses? And the picture...the drawing I drew of you....at art," Gerard devilishly grinned. "And at luch...the way our eyes met across the room. It was so cliche."

Cordelia rplayed the luch scene in her head. His eyes, his beautiful, devilish eyes had burned a hole into her memory. How could she forget about him? He stared at her all the time and how could she forget?

"What do you want?" Cordelia whimpered with tears rolling down her cheek.

"When you first moved here, on July 20th, I saw you walking to the mall with your mom. You looked so beautiful," he answered. "I couldn't help myself. I want you. I want you so very much."

Cordelia got up from the seat she was sitting in, and glared at him. He glared back, but his glare had a hint of lust in it, hers had a hint of hatred. She broke the eye contact between them and looked at the door. Cordelia ,abruptly, took off running again. She ran out that door to be soon stopped by four other shadow figure.

"Get her!" she heard Gerard yell behind her.

She looked at the figures, trying to decode their faces. One of them grabbed her. Cordelia tried to break free but he was too strong. The figure slammed her up against the wall, knocking her out again.

Cordelia followed Gerard to his house which was down the street from the town's cemetery. Gerard cleaned up the gash on Cordelia's head. The alcohol that was rubbed on her head stung but at least it cleaned the wound.

"Can I ask you a question?" Cordelia asked.

"Sure," he replied."Go ahead."

"How come you were staring at me at school?"

"Because you're beautiful." He smiled as he saw her blush.

"Thanks." She said trying to hide her pink face.

"Can I ask you a question?" Gerard mimicked.

"Okay..."

"How did you get the gash on your head."

"I was jogging and I ran into a pole." Cordelia lied in a low voice. There was an awkward silence between the them.

"Can I ask you another question." Gerard said breaking the silence.

"Ummm...sure."

"Did you like the roses?"

Their Lives Were All Lies

This is a poem I wrote that was inspired by a song called Eternal Rest by Avenged Sevenfold. Here it is:

Hear all the lost children crying,

crying through all the pain.

Hear all the lost children crying,

being beaten and thrown in the rain.

Cold and wet, they bleed.

They bleed until nothings left,

nothing but an empty shell they call a heart.

Who would put them through this hell

and play such a great part

in their lives they call a lie.

Why were all the lost children crying?

Their lives were all lies.

Why were all the lost children beaten

and thrown to the flies?

Hear all the lost children crying,

crying through all the pain.

Hear all the lost children crying,

being beaten and thrown in the rain.

Their lives were all lies.

"A Kind of Love to Die For" chapter 8

Cordelia awoke from her short sleep.  She found herself on the ground in the park, with her head bleeding. Cordelia looked up and saw the little little girl that she knocked down was staring at her. They stared at eavh other for about two minutes until the little girl finally walked away.

'Awkward,' Cordelia thought to herself. She started walking again, and putting pressure on her wound so it would stop bleeding. Her head stung with pain but she didn't care. All she cared about was hiding herself from the shadow figure. Cordelia knew that he was still watching her, waiting to make a move. So, she walked the opposite direction and placed herself to a place that was filled with people. The club that was down the street from the park was always busy. She sat in a booth and analyzed the events of the night. She ignored the wound on her head and stared bankly at nothing. Blood was dripping down her cheek.

She noticed that someone was approachingher. It was Gerard from art class.

"Are you okay?" he asked. "You're bleeding."

"Oh...um...yeah, I'm fine." She whispered.

"You're lying," he said.

Cordelia looked up at him. He was smiling. Gerard took a napkin and started to wipe off the blood on her face.

"I'm Gerard." he said with smiling eyes.

"I'm Cordelia. You're in my art class." she said to him.

"I know. Come with me," Gerard said standing up and holding out his hand for her to take. "Let's get you cleaned up."

Cordelia took his hand and they both walked out the club and headed to his house.

"A Kind of Love to Die For" chapter 7

"I'm sorry, miss, but there's no evidence that someone was in your house. There;s absolutley nothing we can do..." a young policeman stated.

"No evidence? Are you sure? What about fingerprints or hair fibers...or-or what about the roses and the note and the drawing?" Cordelia asked.

"We need better evidence than flowers, a note, and a drawing. I'm sorry. And we already sweeped the place...there is no fibers or fingerprints. Contact us if you need anything else." The policeman said, while walking out the door.

"Why isn't anyone helping me?" she whispered. Cordelia stood in the middle of her living room. She stared into her empty mind and wondered why. Why is this happening to her? Why isn't anybody helping her? What did she do? Were they scared of something? Of her maybe?

Cordelia had been standing in the same spot for hours and by the time she awoke from her daydreaming, everyone had already left.  She had been too afraid to stay in her house, so she left and went for a walk. She had reached the park that was near her house and had been walking around in it for hours. She started hearing footsteps, heavy and fast footsteps. Cordelia's heart beated faster and faster and it had felt as if it was going to jump out of her chest.

So she ran. She ran for dear life. Running like she had never ran before. The footsteps were still behind her. Catching up to her. Cordelia screamed, still running. She ran into a little girl, knocking the little girl to the ground, but Cordelia didn't stop to help.

The footsteps were still following her. Cordelia wanted to stop but she couldn't. She kept looking back, looking to see if there was anyone behind her. Cordelia turned around and ran straight into a pole, knocking her to the ground, out cold.

"A Kind of Love To Die For " chapter 6

Cordelia saw the shadow figure slowly walking towards her. She started pushing herself up against the door to get it open but it wouldn't budge. No matter how hard she pushed, it wouldn't open. So, she went  to the window next it and tried to get it open so she could escape. It wouldn't open either. Neither did the other window next to the door and the other window parallel from it.Cordelia picked up a chair from the sunroom and broke it through one of the windows. She had cut her arm on the way out of the window on broken glass, leaving a trail of unwanted blood on the sidewalk. Cordelia ran her way to Phoebe's house, tripping and falling a couple times, and started banging on Phoebe's door.

"Phoebe!!!" she screamed. "Phoebe, help me!!"

There was a short silence and then the door opened. Phoebe's mom answered it. Cordelai broke into tears and sunk to the gtound.

"Cordelia, honey, whats wrong?" Phoebe's mom asked.

"He was in my house...he tried to get me...the police wouldn't help and he tried to get me..." she sobbed. Phoebe's mom ushered her in the house and cleaned up the gash on her arm.

"Who was at your house, honey? Who tried to get you?"

"I don't know," Cordelia whispered. "I don't know."

"A Kind of Love to Die For" chapter 5

Cordelia locked all of her windows and doors inside her house. She also closed all the curtains and restrained herself to the comfort of her living room. Trust me...she wasn't going to step foot in her room especially if some creep can get in there at any time. Cordelia kept getting this strange feeling that she was being watched. She looked all around the room, frightened. Then the phone rang and scared her out of her mind.

"Hello?" She said in a timid voice.

"So did you figure out who wrote that note?"

"Phoebe?"

"Uh, yeah! Don't you have caller ID?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah..I just...Phoebe the guy who wrote me the note was in my room...he left five roses for me...and a drawing and another note." Cordelia sobbed.

"Well, what did the note say?"

"What do you think it said?!" Cordelia exploded.

"Oh....well, whats the big deal. It means that someone likes you.Be flattered."

"No, Phoebe! It means that he was in my house! He knows where I live!! I'm here all alone and he could be coming for me!! What if he's still in the house!!!!!"

"Call the police." Phoebe suggested.

"Their not going to do anything, Phoebe."

"Just call the police, okay? Now I got to go, it's my mom's birthday. Bye hun, see you tomorrow." Phoebe said as Cordelia hung up. She thought about calling the police. Maybe they can give her some sort of protection. Or maybe they'll tell her it's some asshole trying to get a rise out of her.

Cordelia decided to see what response she would get. She dialed 9-1-1.

"Hello?" She said.

"Hello, this is the Belleville police department. How may I help you?"

"Some creep was in my house. He-he left me a note. I had gotten the same note at school earlier. It's really starting to creep me out." Cordelia sobbed.

"Well, miss, what did the note say?" The officer asked.

"It said, 'A Kind of Love to Die For.' It's creeping me out!!"

"Well, it sounds like maybe someone likes you, ma'am. Or it could just be some asshole trying to get a rise out of you."

"You don't care, do you?" She asked.

"It's not that I don't care, it's just that..."

"I knew you wouldn't help me!" She screamed and hung up the phone. Cordelia sunk to her knee's and sobbed.

She just sat there, next to her coffee table, and sobbed. All the lights in the house shut off as did the power inthe house. The sobbing turned to crying. Her first day at school and some asshole is hasseling her. Or is he?

Codelia just sat on the floor, frozen in fear. She heard footsteps surrounding her. She broke free from her fear and tried to escape through the front door. Cordelia unlocked it but there was still something holding it shut. She turned around and saw the same shadow figure that she saw the other night.

"A Kind of Love to Die For" chapter 4

Cordelia was stunned by the note that was left in her locker. Who could've wrote it? How did they get her locker combination? That was all she could think of for the rest of the day.

"What do you think it means?" Cordelia asked Phoebe while walking home,

"I don't know. Maybe it's a prank. The guys in our schools are assholes." Phoebe replied.

"Or maybe someone likes me." Cordelia choked.

"Oh come on! 'A kind of love to die for?' It sounds more like a death threat than anything romantic."

"Whatever." Cordelia sighed.

"Bye, hun. See you tomorrow." Phoebe said as they appraoched her house. Cordelia waved and slowly headed home. She took the note out of her back pack and analyzed the note. Who could of left it for her? Was it a death threat or was someone messing with her?

She headed up the driveway of her house and noticed that her parents' car was gone. "Mom? Dad? Anyone home?" She said walking through her front door. There was no response. "Of course not." She sighed. Cordelia noticed and note from her parents on her coffee table.

She opened the note and out dropped $200. The note said: "Cordelia, Your father and I have to go away for about a week for a business trip. We left you $200 for groceries or anything you need. If you run out, you know where to get more. call us if you need anything. We love you, honey. xoxo, mom & dad."

Cordelai sighed and shoved the money back into the note and headed to her room. The door to her room seemed to be stuck on something as she tried to open it. Cordelia shoved against the door until it finally opened. To her surprise, there was one red rose tied to each side of her bed and one white rose left in the middle of her bed, attached to a note and a drawing.

The drawing was a drawing of her. It was absolutely astonishing to look at. The drawing was so life-like. And the note, the note read : "A Kind of Love to Die For."

Please Hear What I'm Not Saying

Don’t be fooled by me.

Don’t be fooled by the face I wear

for I wear a mask, a thousand masks,

masks that I’m afraid to take off,

and none of them is me.

Pretending is an art that’s second nature with me,

but don’t be fooled,

for God’s sake don’t be fooled.

I give you the impression that I’m secure,

that all is sunny and unruffled with me, within as well as without,

that confidence is my name and coolness is my game,

that the water’s calm and I’m in command

and that I need no one,

but don’t believe me.

My surface may seem smooth but my surface is my mask,

ever varying and ever concealing.

Beneath lies no complacence.

Beneath lies confusion, and fear, and aloneness.

But I hide this. I don’t want anybody to know it.

I panic at the thought of my weakness exposed.

That’s why I frantically create a mask to hide behind,

a nonchalant sophisticated façade,

to help me pretend,

to shield me from the glance that knows.

But such a glance is precisely my salvation, my only hope,

and I know it.

That is, if it’s followed by acceptance,

if it’s followed by love.

It’s the only thing that can liberate me from myself,

from my own self-built prison walls,

from the barriers that I so painstakingly erect.

It’s the only thing that will assure me

of  what I can assure myself,

that I’m really worth something.

But I don’t tell you this. I don’t dare to, I’m afraid to.

I’m afraid that your glance will not be followed by acceptance,

will not be followed by love.

I’m afraid you’ll think less of me,

that you’ll laugh, and that your laugh will kill me.

I’m afraid that deep down I’m nothing

and that you’ll see this and reject me.

So I play my game, my desperate pretending game, with a façade of assurance without

and a trembling child within.

So begins the glittering but empty parade of masks,

and my life becomes a front.

I tell everything that’s really nothing,

and nothing of what’s everything,

of what’s crying within me.

So when I’m going through my routine,

do not be fooled by what I’m saying.

Please listen carefully and try to hear what I’m not saying,

what I’d like to be able to say,

what for survival I need to say,

but what I can’t say.

I don’t like hiding.

I don’t like playing superficial phony games.

I want to stop playing them.

I want to be genuine and spontaneous and me

but you’ve got to help me.

You’ve got to hold out your hand

even when that’s the last thing I seem to want.

Only you can wipe away from my eyes

The blank stare of the breathing dead.

Only you can call me into aliveness.

Each time you’re kind, and gentle, and encouraging,

each time you try to understand because you really care,

my heart begins to grow wings-

very small wings,

very feeble wings,

but wings!

With your power to touch me into feeling

you can breathe life into me.

I want you to know that.

I want you to know how important you are to me,

how you can be a creator –an honest-to-God creator,

of the person that is me,

if you choose to.

You alone can break down the wall behind which I tremble,

you alone can remove my mask,

you alone can release me from my shadow-world of panic,

from my lonely prison,

if you choose to.

Please choose to.

Do not pass me by.

It will not be easy for you.

A long conviction of worthlessness builds strong walls.

The nearer you approach me

the blinder I may strike back.

It’s irrational, but despite what the books say about man

often I am irrational.

I fight against everything I cry out for.

But I am told that love is stronger than strong walls

and in this lies my hope.

Please try to beat down those walls

with firm hands but with gentle hands

for a child is very sensitive.

Who am I, you may wonder?

I am someone you know very well.

For I am every man you meet,

and I am every woman you meet.

~Charles C. Finn September 1966~

This is my favorite poem...it describes me so much.

A Knd of Love to Die For : Chapter 3

The bell rang for lunch.Cordelia was lucky that she had the same classes as Phoebe because she wouldn't have found the cafeteria. As she walked into the cafeteria, she noticed that the boy, Gerard, was staring at her as she made her way to the table that Phobe and two other girls sit at.

"Hey Phoebe." Cordelia said sitting down next to her friend.

"Hey. What's happenin'?" Phoebe replied while taking a bite out of her ham and cheese sandwhich.

"Remember that boy in art...uh, Gerard. Well, he keeps staring at me."

"Uh-oh," one of the girls started. "You hear that, Shelia? He likes her. You know what that means."

"Oh, I know what that means. He's gonna make sure that she's his."

"Don't pay any attention to them, hun. They're just messing with you." Phoebe laughed.

"I'm Rose and this is Shelia." she said introducing her and her friend.

"And, seriously, I think he likes you." Shelia stated.

Cordelia glanced up at his table and found that he was still looking her way.

"I don't know...I mean, how can he like me? He doesn't even know me," Cordelia said in a inside voice. Her eyes met Gerard's and she quickly turned away, blushing. "And plus, it creeps me out."

"It is possible for someone to like you even if they don't really know you. That's how I met Richard." Rose smiled.

"Who's Richard?" Cordelia asked.

"My boyfriend."

The bell rang again, except this time it was for lunch to end.

"Uh, Phoeb's...I'm going to my locker. I'll meet you in class." Cordelia said.

"I don't want you to get lost. I'll come with you."

"No, it's okay. I'll find my way to class." Cordelia assured. She made her way to her locker. Luckily, she wrote down her combination on a piece of paper. It had taken her six times to finally get her locker open. She looked inside and found a beautiful red rose with a note attached. The note read:

"A Kind of Love to Die For."

A Kind of Love to Die For : chapter 2

"Honey...wake up...it's time for school." Mrs. Wyatt, Cordelia's mom, whispered to her daughter.

"I don't wanna go....don't make me..." Cordelia said in a low, soggy voice.

"Oh, don't you start this again. You have to go to school, now get up, young lady....Up!" Mrs. Wyatt persisted.

Cordelia got up as her mother told her too. She got up and got ready for school. She put on her short, noodle straped, white dress, her long fish-net gloves and leggings, her ruby red ring, her black army boots, and her black pearl necklace. She pulled her long, black, wavy hair into a slightly messy ponytail. She applied black eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, and red lipstick to her pale face.

"Perfect." she whispered to herself as she walked out her bedroom. Cordelia headed outside to meet Phoebe. Phoebe didn't live far from Cordelia and the school wasn't far from her house either. It was probably 3 blocks away. Phoebe was already waiting for Cordelia outside.

"Whoa, nice outfit." Phoebe complimented.

"Thanks, you too." Cordelia complimented back.

It had probably taken them twenty minutes to get to school. When they got there, first period was about to begin. Cordelia had art class first.

"You are soooo lucky that we have the same classes or you would've been sooooooo lost!!" Phoebe joked.

"Oh yeah, I'm sooo lucky to have you to guide me." Cordelia laughed with a hint of sarcasim.

The art room was a big room, filled with  paintings and sketches.

"Wow," Cordelia gasped. "It is so cool."

"Really? I hate art. Music is way better."

"Whatever," Cordelia stopped and stared at a boy across the room. " Who's that boy...over there?"

"What boy?" Phoebe asked.

"The one wearing the black. Uh, the pale one with the longish black hair...he seems familiar." Cordelia whispered.

"Oh, that's Gerard."

A Kind of Love to Die For : Chapter 1

"I don't wanna go to school tomorrow. I hate meeting new people. I'm tooo strange." Seventeen year  old Cordelia Wyatt stated to her new friend, Phoebe, over the phone.

"Well, you met me!" And plus, I don't think the schools in Delaware are any differebt than the schools here in Jersey. Trust me, it's not that bad." Phoebe replied.

"It's bad when you get attached to someone or have a boyfriend and then you have to move because of your dad's job."

"Yeah, that sucks. Anyways, I'll meet you outside your house tomorrow so we can walk to school together," Phoebe stopped then sighed. " My mom wants me to get off the phone. See you tomorrow, hun."

"Alright...bye." Cordelia sighed as she hung up. She had never wanted to leave Delaware. She never wanted to leave her friends. She hates her dad for making her move away from her old life  that which she had come adjusted too. It was about 10:45 pm and Cordelia was exhausted.

"I'll guess I'll get some sleep." She slipped into her pajama's and turned out her bedroom light. She went to close the blinds and she noticed a shadowy figure outside her window.

"Hello? Is anybody out there?" Cordelia questioned. the Figure didn't move. She quickly shut her window and closed her blinds.
